I truly fell in love with photography in High School while using my moms camera from her own High School days. While that camera may now be retired from duty, and I continue to evolve along with photographic standards, the fundamental knowledge of photography that I learned back then will always stay with me. I often look at that old film camera proudly displayed in my home and reflect on where I began, and how lucky I am to have made my way to where I am now.
Instead of finding peace while developing in a dark room, I now find my peace while editing in my office. The process may not be the same anymore, but creating a meaningful and beautiful portrait will always bring me the greatest satisfaction.
MY PHOTGRAPHIC STYLE
Over the years, I have perfected my style to a naturally bold and vibrant artistic edit that you can see throughout my portfolio. I prefer to hand edit each photo individually instead of using filters or presets to batch edit. Therefore, my turn around time might not be a fast as others, but I present a quality of work that I am proud of.
I am a full-time professional photographer in the PDX (Portland, OR metro) area, local to Vancouver, WA. The majority of my sessions are outdoors. With outdoor photography we can go for either a nature setting, or city life setting; both being incredible options. I also provide in-home photography, which gives a more "lifestyle" vibe to your portraits. This option is especially loved in the winter months, or with newborns-infant portraits.
No matter which setting you choose, I will capture your portraits in both a traditional posed and a candid-like style.
